The Holy Spirit Endowed Through God's Churches

By His Son, Jesus' word and writings recorded in the Bible have been the difference between other creatures-animals, etc., that have not been so endowed as have males an females of the human race. So it is that the Holy Spirit needs to be nurtured in the human race so that God's will will be done. Thanks be to God for guiding our nurturing now. We humans need to pursue the ways of God's nurturing through His churches, just as we need nourishment to rebuild our physical bodies. We need nourishment for our spiritual well being while we are are still living. For after physical death, without knowing spiritual well being, we are really dead. So give attention to God's spiritual nurturing by staying active in His church where there is worship, hearing of God's word and singing His praises. Taking community then is combining of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in one occasion. Knowing that the Holy Spirit is essential to knowing God's path to eternal life.

Coffee Hour and Fellowship After Each Service

May I extend a most cordial word of Christian greeting and an invitation to visit us here at Ascension Lutheran Church. You will receive a warm welcome from our congregation and will feel comfortably at home with us. More importantly, though, I pray that you will meet God in our worship service and that your faith and spiritual life are strengthened by the encounter. We believe that the celebration of the Risen Lord through word and sacrament is central to our ministry at Ascension.

If you are currently without a regular church home, I invite you to join us in worship. We folks of Ascension would be happy to acquaint you with the opportunities for worship, education, fun and fellowship, and service that are a vital part of our congregational life.

I am available to visit with you if you would desire a call from a pastor. We believe that as we come to know each other better, we will enrich our lives together. Do let us know if we may be of any further assistance by calling the church office at 414-645-2933. May there be many new discoveries on your continuing journey of faith.
